St.Kevin's Mavericks and Mount Pearl Huskies got out to good start in a very defensive played game 3 Tuesday night at the Goulds Arena. Both goalies (#33Keith Dinn and #29Shawn Hurley) were up for the task and played well. The Mavericks #5Brendan McCarthy got his team on the board six minutes into the first with a great solo effort. #2Roland Power tipped home a #9Riley Spurell point shot late in the first to give the Mavs a 2-0 lead heading into the second. It was all defense after that until halfway through the third when #3Nick Bill buried one on a nice setup from #18Aiden Noseworthy and #11Alex Hayes. The final minutes saw pressure from both sides but that was how it ended. St. Kevin's will now move on to the second round.
