Holy Heart tier 1 and 2 boys High School Hockey won the Sword against Gonzaga tier 1 and 2 in the best 2 out of 3 series at DF Barnes.
And what a competitive tournament it was. With very exciting first 2 games, both teams went into the finals with 1 game a piece and played their hearts out for the prestigious Sword and Plaque.
Holy Heart 2 played Gonzaga 2 first in the final with the Highlanders winning 4 – 1. Goals by Breen with 2, Davis and Janes with one a piece with assists by D. Kirkland. Cavanagh, Locke, Roche and Davis. For Gonzaga, Kyle Decker scored assisted by Spencer Molloy and Nick Winters.
Holy Heart 1 played Gonzaga 1 right after with the Heart winning handily 5-1. Goals by Aaron Whitten with 2, and Morgan, Dillon and Russel with 1 each. Assists from Morgan, Yabsley and Davis. Janes scored the goal for Gonzaga assisted by Mouland.
