What a weekend of High School Hockey at Twin Rinks this past weekend.

The Boyle Championship welcomed 12 teams from across the island for a weekend of competitive high school hockey.

A huge thank-you to all the teams participating and for having so many great moments throughout this stellar tournament.

A huge thank-you too to all the Volunteers, the Officials, the timekeepers and Twin Rinks staff the playing a huge part in making the Boyle happen for all teams attending.

8 teams advanced into the semi-finals early Sunday with Elwood and JM Olds making it to the final.

 

Deer Lake Elwood Lakers took the gold medal and their plaque on the historic 123 year old Boyle Cup with a 5 – 0 win over the Twillingate JM Olds Tigers.

With 2 Goals by  8 Luke Elms, with 15 Ethan Peddle, 11 Aidan Applin and 22 Drew Park with 1 apeice.

3 assists by 22 Drew Park and 16 Griffin Hynes, with 2 Tyler Wilton, 98 Luke Hamlyn and 11 Aidan Applin with 1 each.

Goalie Blake Randell with the shutout. 

 

PWC Cavaliers beat Holy Heart Highlanders 4 – 0 to take the Bronze medals.

2 Goals by 16 Matt Rideout, 1 each for 14 Joel Ash and 8 Ryan Kendall.

2 Assists by 13 Ethan Fardy, 1 assist each for 5 Hiscock and 10 Hull.
